Who we are and what we do:

Bath Animal Action is a non-violent action group, set up in 2003, that takes action to promote animal rights and welfare locally, nationally and internationally. The group meets on the second Monday of every month, from 8.00 to 9.00pm at The Bell public house on Walcot Street, in Bath. We're sometimes a little hard to find in all the hubbub, though, so feel free to give us a call on meeting day on 07837 784715.

In the past, we have:
organised local free vegan food stalls, and two annual Bath Vegan Fayres in 2009 and 2010, as well as supporting other similar events
run several campaigns to end the sale of the cruel 'delicacy' foie gras from 2008, with successes at Le Petit Cochon, the Pinch, Bistro No. 5, the Cavendish Hotel, Minibar, Beaujolais and the Hop Pole
persuaded various stores in Bath in 2007 to stop the sale of fur, including a hard-fought campaign against the high-cost boutique AH Moda, who collaborated with local police in a disproportionate response involving the fitting up of two activists
helped close down a cruel and unlicensed greyhound course in Glastonbury in 2005, but not before the races killed Snowstorm the greyhound
saved hundreds of wild animals alongside hunt saboteurs from Bristol, Pewsey, South Wales, Reading, Devon, the Midlands and elsewhere
raised funds for several rescue centres (such as Somershire Hamster Rescue and Bath Gerbil Rescue), campaigns and charities
campaigned locally against McDonalds, KFC, horse-racing and pigeon culls
joined national campaigns with CIWF, Animal Aid, SPEAK, SHAC, helped with boycotts against Bobby Roberts Circus and Noah's Ark Zoo and Proctor & Gamble and opposed the Welsh badger cull
and distributed, door-to-door, packets of animal rights literature and information.
Why not come along to discuss what YOU can do to help bring an end to animal cruelty!
